- The new five-year global waste reduction strategy encompasses Ford’s overall “Reduce, reuse and recycle” commitment that applies to all facets of the company, from the vehicles it makes to the facilities where they are made
- Plan builds on the success the company saw between 2007 and 2011, when the amount of waste sent to landfill per vehicle dropped from 37.9 to 22.7 pounds – a 40 percent reduction
